Our Mission. Partnering with the Athens community to provide shelter and care and affection to abandoned, surrendered, or stray dogs until suitable homes are found. To eliminate cruelty, neglect and abuse of dogs in Athens County and surrounding areas. To educate community members on the correct treatment of dogs, and to uphold Ohio laws regarding such treatment.

Directions from east or west:
From Nelsonville: Take Route 33 east to the State Route 13 exit. Go thru Chauncey on 13 south. We are approximately 1/2 mile from Chauncey on the right, next to the County Home.
From Athens: Take Route 33 west to the 13 exit. Take 13 north 2 1/2 miles. We are located on the left, just after the County Home.
